Like many people (maybe you too?!) - I'm a lover of the sun - a lover of summer!

As lovely as the warmth and the sun are, the heat takes a toll on the body, hair, and skin. Think of how the hot sun affects the soil and earth - making them dry and cracked. Making life - flowers, plants, trees - break down faster.

Without intentional self-care in summer, that heat can also impact us. It can increase the heat in the mind (think frustration, irritation), emotions (easy to anger, snappy), and body (dehydration, inflammation, dryness, early greying, early wrinkling, and more), leading to imbalances that develop into more complex and serious issues later on.

The Ayurveda approach to holistic health and balanced living varies by season so we can:

Preserve our health and graceful aging

Prevent illness and disease that arise as a result of excess heat and inflammation

And improve our longevity - leading us toward a longer life in which we feel great
